Gorges de la Siagne
The Siagne river takes its source at 1435 m height before it crosses the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes, to end up in the Mediterranean Sea. On its way there, it runs through twelve villages, including Mons, Callian, Montauroux and Tanneron. This river has shaped an amazing landscape of gorges in the hinterland of the Provence, with depths to 400 metres. While playing with the rocks, the river has sanded natural bridges and caves, and changes to a waterfall from time to time. These gorges offer a great hiking area with various swimming spots.
